Google Earth is a free software that will let you explore lots of places on Earth from your computer.
Google Earth will let you see satellite images from cities, buildings and maps. It will also let you explore space galaxies, and under the oceans.
To download Google Earth, please go to the Google Earth website. Once you are there click on the big blue button labeled "Download Google Earth 5.0". After downloading it please install it on your computer.
Once installed you are ready to start exploring the Earth!
You can start to use Google Earth by trying to find home or business. When you start using Google Earth, you will see a big picture of the Earth. On the left side you will see a Search box labeled "Fly to:". Type in your home or business address there and click on the Search button. Now you will "fly" to the address you typed in.
Using this same way, you can explore many points of interest on the Earth. As a practice, try to "fly" to the following places: White House, Niagara Falls, Eiffel tower, Big Ben, Mount Fuji. Once you visit each of these places, try to click on the different icons that appear on the map. You may read some interesting information or view close up pictures about the places you are visiting.
You can also use the "Layers" section on the left side to explore interesting locations. Just click on the name of the location you would like to view.
If you would like to explore the Sky, then please click "View" on the top menu and select "Switch to Sky".
If you would like to go back to Earth please click on "View" on the top menu and select "Switch to Earth".
